  The South Korea U16 National Team defeated Bahrain 89-62 on Monday in Doha, Qatar, in a Group C qualifier for the FIBA U16 Asian Men's Basketball Championship 2023. The win improves the team's record to 1-1 after an 81-83 loss to New Zealand the day before.

  Head coach Kim Hyun-soo said, "We were a little stiff at the beginning of the game. We fixed it by making substitutions, and the players who came in stabilized and played well. It was easier to play than I thought," he said of the first victory.

  The team will clinch second place in Group C with a win against Jordan at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 19.
